My wife and I recently completed building our new home with Steckling builders. Working with Rick and Tracy on our new home construction exceeded our expectations by far. Rick and Tracy treated us as through we were their most important project and looked out for our best interests throughout the process.

In the early steps of the process where we made design decisions, the Steckling’s were very interactive and knowledgeable applying their experience with building and design to helping us make the hard decisions easy. Their eye for design helped us to visualize the house before we built it. We appreciated their approach of providing input while allowing us to make the final decisions without any pressure. The subcontractors that the Steckling’s work with were very helpful with the selection process for all the finishes and were very customer focused.

The budgeting of the build is always the hard part. Tracy and Rick worked very closely with us to identify the costs and to manage the budget, including a few revisions up front to get us where we needed to be. We built our house in the country on acreage which added the challenges of well, septic, and we threw in Geothermal heating as well. Believe it or not, even though we added some scope during the build we came in under budget which is a testament to how well they estimated and managed the costs throughout the process.

During the build, Rick was extremely involved and constantly on the site to assure that things were built to his standards. In the rare instances where there were questions, we were contacted immediately to make decisions, and always with a recommendation from Rick, which helped.

The final product speaks for itself. The house is absolutely beautiful with high quality craftsmanship matched with complementary design. Our concept was to take the Mountain Ranch and combine it with a rustic feel, and they nailed it perfectly. The house is designed well, and built well.
